Trump has the cult leader skill of making everything about him, and making it always appear that people are picking on him unfairly, and by extension being mean to those who worship him.
It's that psych warfare that tricked tens of millions of people into voting for him, in spite of the absolute bullshit he spews constantly.
Progressives - Hell, anyone sane and reasonable - needs to figure out how to battle a cult leader and reprogram his flock on the fly.
